Lala's EcoPark - The Secret Mountain Resort in Ozamiz
Ever heard of Stimson Abordo? No, it's not an american name neither a foreign town. It's the new name of a certain barangay in Ozamiz City formerly the barangay of Montol. Montol as we used to recall is a scenic mountain top (or elevated barrio) of Mt. Malindang with a baguio or tagaytay-like weather condition during december months, with an elevation of 250meters above sea level.
From this site, you have a panoramic view of ozamiz, panguil bay and part of lanao del norte. For decades, this tiny rural barangay hasn't gone through any modern development and expansion, but to date remains a quiet, peaceful and untouched barrio. At present, it still nestles secretly by the hillside, and enjoys the benefit of fresh air and clean environment.
For adventure and nature lovers, this old little barangay actually serves as an attractive place to find relaxation, and have some friendly and family bonding. Any celebration or events are appropriate for the place or for a day tour visit.
The place is called Lala's Ecopark. It has two small size (kids-friendly) swimming pools by the hillside, dining areas and cabanas, comfort areas, and most especially a rough road trek or foot trip to the breathtaking and hidden gem of Sebase river. It can be piloted starting from the corner of ozamiz-pagadian highway and bishop's palace, for an hour or less.
